The Muller Family

Originated in Germany, and we now have Frederick’s ancestors dated back to the late 1720's

Johann Stephan Muller was born abt 1722 in Mannheim, Baden, Germany, and died 30th January 1770, he married Johanna Amalia Arold on 13th October 1751 in Mannheim, Baden, Germany. Johanna was born 26th August 1731 and is thought to have died on 25th May 1826. It is thought she remarried after Johann (Stephan) died. As the death is for Amalia Steckert, there is a marriage between Johann Wilhelm Steckert & Anna Amalia Müller (maiden name Arold) in July 1771.

Johann's parents were Johann Jacob Müller/ Mueller.

Her parents were Christoph Friderich Arold (1706 - 31 July 1791) & Juliana Margaretha Kuntz

Johannes Mueller (note the spelling) was born 12 September 1761 and died 14th May 1824, he married Luise Raab on 15th October 1797, she was born about 1772, Johannes is listed as Citizen, Rent master, in their marriage notes.

Frederick Mueller was born 12th February 1809 at Ladenburg, Baden, Germany, he married Katharina Peterhans on the 5th February 1837 at 7.30, at Mannheim, Baden, Germany, Katharina, was born on the 4th August 1812, at 1.am at Rohrbach, Baden, Germany and died on 8th April 1892 at Mannheim. Her parents, were Ullrich Peterhans and Elisabetha Bohn, they were never married.

Ullrich married Theresa Hess in 1818.

An entry in the marriage records for Friedrich & Katherina carries a special remark: {No Native or Citizens rights will apply to the future married couple or their descendants following the marriage ceremony}

Katharina was christened on the 4th August 1812, at 1.pm, at Sankt Johannes, Heidelberg, this notes that she is the illigimate daughter and Ullrich Peterhans is listed as self proclaimed Father, his occupation is that of servant with Her Royal Highness the Grand-duchess, and later he is noted as Doorman at the Grand-dukes castle. In 1836 his occupation is Servant in the Knights Hall at the Grand Duchy Palace.
